Dancing Men for Adobe
For World Dance Day, I collaborated with Adobe Creative Cloud to create a special edition of my ongoing Dancing Men series, exploring movement, masculinity, softness and self-expression through the male form. The artworks celebrate the freedom of letting the body communicate what words often cannot, with each dancer captured in a moment of rhythm, vulnerability and joy.
Drawing from Indian dance traditions, costume, jewellery and my own maximalist visual language, I created four distinct dancers using vibrant watercolour-inspired textures and expressive poses. The series was developed using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, bringing together digital illustration and painterly detail to celebrate movement as a form of identity, confidence and taking up space.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
I created four illustrated dancers, each exploring a different sense of rhythm, costume, gesture and personality. Drawing from Indian dance traditions, jewellery, drapery and my own maximalist visual language, I wanted the figures to feel expressive, sensual and completely at ease in their bodies. The series was built around the idea that movement can communicate what words often cannot, turning dance into a language of vulnerability, confidence and freedom. Each artwork used vibrant colour and watercolor-inspired textures while remaining connected as one cohesive visual set.
ROLE - Concept Development, Illustration & Visual Direction
I developed the creative direction for the series from concept through final artwork, including pose exploration, composition, costume detailing, colour development and illustration. The artworks were created using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, combining digital drawing with painterly textures to retain the softness and richness of my wider Dancing Men practice.
From Movement to Illustration
For Adobe’s World Dance Day, I created four new artworks as part of my ongoing Dancing Men series, exploring movement, masculinity, softness and self-expression through the male form. I began by studying dance poses, gestures, drapery and costume, then developed each figure through sketches before building the final illustrations with detailed jewellery, expressive silhouettes and vibrant watercolor-inspired colour. I wanted every dancer to feel distinct in personality and rhythm, while still belonging to the same joyful, unapologetically expressive world.
